JOHNNY WHISPER

Original Story & Screenplay By Dylan Coburn

Genre: Horror . PG-13 . Comp: The Ring meets Child's Play

Who is the strong man?

The one who conquers his own urge.

-- Talmudic aphorism.

A teenage boy's life spirals out of control when under the influence of his only friend - an ancient doll, named Johnny. When Johnny is revealed to be a "Whisper Doll" - inhabited by an evil spirit whose goal is to attach itself to a host, possess it and kill it, family and friends conspire to separate the boy from the doll.  But the evil spirit doesn’t like that plan at all.

Writer's thoughts:

My metaphor for a teenager's negative thoughts are creepy little pagan dolls I call Whisper Dolls.  Possessed by ancient malevolent spirits, they attach themselves to innocent youths - twisting their thoughts and minds.  Let's spend some time with our troubled protagonist, Jason as

he lives at the mercy of the ancient, evil will of Johnny - his Whisper Doll.  We follow those close to him as they realise what's happening to Jason and try to wrestle his attention away from Johnny - but they might be too late.
